Built for one industry
A general job board doesn’t know what you do.
Search “underwriter” anywhere else and you get mortgage roles, ten states away, with no salary. Switch’d understands that a Middle Market property underwriter and a personal lines auto underwriter are not the same job — and that CPCU, an E&S broker’s licence and six years in Guidewire PolicyCenter each mean something specific.
35
Lines of business
Workers’ Comp, Cyber, D&O, Marine, Surety
32
Functions
Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Risk Control
27
Designations
CPCU, ARM, CIC, AIC, ASA, FCAS
27
Systems
Guidewire, Duck Creek, Applied Epic, Sagitta
153 terms in all, plus the shorthand people actually type — “work comp”, “E&O”, “subro”, “cat adjuster”, “policycenter” — so you describe your work the way you’d say it out loud.
What you get
The things that make job hunting miserable, removed.
Free
Free for candidates, always. Free for employers to post a job, run a full pipeline, message people and schedule interviews. Not a trial — the free plan is the product.
Shielded by default
Your profile shows the work, not the name. Employers see your experience, lines, licences and years — not who you are or where you work — until you decide otherwise. You can block a specific employer, and they are never told.
Talk right here
Messaging is on the platform, tied to the role you applied for. No handing over your personal email to start a conversation, and nothing lands in your work inbox.
They have to answer
Every employer commits to a response window — 14 days by default. Miss it and it counts against a response rate we show. Ghosting stops being free.
Salary on every job
A pay range is required to publish. Not "competitive", not "DOE" — a real number, enforced by the database, so you know before you spend an evening on an application.
Match, explained
Every match shows its work: which of their stated requirements you meet, which you don’t, and what would close the gap. A published scoring rubric, not a black box — and never a score on you as a person.
Interviews without the ping-pong
They propose times, you pick one, the calendar invite sends itself. No eight-email thread to find a Tuesday.
Approached, not spammed
When an employer reaches out it names the role, the person, and the pay range — and they still don’t know who you are unless you say you’re interested. One approach per role. Say no once and it’s over.
How it works
If you’re looking
Look without anyone finding out
- 1
Tell us what you actually do
Function, lines, segment, licences, systems. Two minutes, no resume required to start.
- 2
Stay hidden while you look
Shielded is the default. Nothing is indexed by Google. Block any employer you don’t want seeing you.
- 3
Apply, or get approached
Either way you see the pay range first, and you get an answer inside their stated window.
If you’re hiring
Reach people who aren’t on a job board
- 1
Post a real job
Structured by function and line of business, with a salary range. Free.
- 2
See who fits, and why
Ranked candidates with an itemised read against your own stated requirements.
- 3
Run the whole thing here
Pipeline, messages, interview scheduling and offers — no bolted-on ATS, no per-seat bill.
What we don’t do
- We don’t verify licences or designations.
- Credentials are self-reported and labelled that way everywhere they appear. Check anything that matters to you against the state DOI or the issuing body.
- We don’t score you as a person.
- There is no ranking of who is a “better” professional. Matching runs only against the requirements an employer actually wrote down, and it never sees your name, photo, school, graduation year or employment gaps.
- We don’t sell your details.
- Your identity is disclosed when you apply to a job or accept an approach, to that employer only. You can revoke it. Nothing on a shielded profile is indexed by search engines.
- We don’t pretend to be busy.
- Switch’d is new. If there are three jobs in your line, you’ll see three jobs — not thirty scraped listings that went stale in April.
Start looking without
anyone knowing.
A profile takes a couple of minutes and stays shielded until you say otherwise. It’s free, and it always will be for candidates.
